Rogers has started notifying customers through text messages that URMusic's days are numbered. On November 1, 2012, URMusic will be officially shut down, and customers will no longer be able to purchase new music through the service. However, those who still have active subscriptions will still be able to download songs until the 30th of November, after which Rogers will finally pull the plug.
What Else You Need To Know
- Rogers customers who have purchased music through URMusic in the past will be able to keep their tracks and keep on playing them.
- TELUS made a similar move last year by shutting down its own music store and partnering with Rdio to give customers a better music experience.
