Rogers recently updated the OS Upgrades release schedule posted on its Community Forums to indicate when users of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note can expect to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. According to the information on the posted schedule, Jelly Bean will be released for the Galaxy S III some time in late November. Meanwhile, users of the Galaxy Note will have to wait until some time in late December before they get it.

  • Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note under Rogers who can't wait for the official upgrade to arrive can opt to perform unofficial OS upgrades instead, with the use of leaked ROMs that are available online for free.
  • Unofficial software upgrades require rooting Android-powered devices.
