Samsung Galaxy Note II surpasses 5 million channel sales since launch
Pocketnow

Samsung has just announced that its current flagship "phablet" offering--a.k.a. the Samsung Galaxy Note II--has finally hit the 5 million channel sales mark after it racked up 2 million in additional sales over the past 24 days. This makes it one of their best-selling devices ever, with sales expected to amount to a total of 20 million, surpassing Samsung's very own Galaxy Note, which was this particular device's predecessor. Compared with Galaxy S III sales, 5 million may seem trivial. But it's a testament to the appeal of the Galaxy Note II, which by itself pretty much popularized the oversized smartphone category.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The original Samsung Galaxy Note hit the 10 million sales milestone over a period of 9 full months after it first launched.
  • The Galaxy S III, Samsung's current flagship Android smartphone, reached 30 million channel sales in a period of 150 days.
