As the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III continues to roll out across Europe, Samsung tells users of the same smartphone out in Canada that they'll be able to get their own hands on the software update some time "before the holidays." This is according to a post on Twitter by Samsung Canada, and pertains not only to the Galaxy S III but also the to Galaxy Note. It may seem like too long of a wait, but on the bright side, there's nearly only 2 months left in 2012.

- Samsung Galaxy S III owners in the US have it worse in that the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software upgrade may not be available until early 2013.
