Samsung is joining an already crowded budget-tablet market. Unconfirmed reports say that Best Buy, starting Aug. 19th, will start selling the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition for $249 US. The Samsung tablet has a 7-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD expansion, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
What Else You Need To Know:
- The Best Buy bundle will include a keyboard and USB connector.
- Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition joins the Google/Nexus 7, the Barnes and Noble Nook Tablet, and the Amazon Kindle Fire among the $200 to $250 budget tablets sold today. Apple Inc. is rumored to be a working on a budget-version of the market leading iPad.
