The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be available on Verizon Wireless starting August 17th. The tablet will run on Verizon's 4G LTE network, which claims to provide 10 times faster Internet than 3G. The carrier is offering the device for $349.99 without a data contract or starting at $40 for (4GB of 4G LTE data per month) under the carrier's Share Everything Plans. Like the Wi-Fi only version released in April, the Tab 2 7.0 has a 7-inch screen, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and a TouchWiz on a 1024 x 600 display.
What Else You Need To Know:
- With 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 8GB of built-in memory, the device has "decent specs".
- Share Everything Plans allow customers to add the Galaxy Tab 2 to their account for $10 monthly access.
