Samsung takes a break from launching purely Android-powered smartphones in India by releasing the Samsung Omnia M this week, a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen-equipped handset that comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. Adhering to Microsoft's strict component requirements, Samsung has fitted the Omnia M with a variety of useful smartphone features such as a speedy 1GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage space, Bluetooth wireless, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, FM radio with RDS, USB connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera, and HSDPA data. The Samsung Omnia M can be purchased now for Rs. 18,650 or about $330 USD.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Samsung's own eStore first listed the Omnia M as available for purchase last week.

- A 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery comes with the standard package and should provide plenty of juice.
