Samsung Unveils (Another) Low End Version of Galaxy S4

Samsung is flooding the market with more Galaxy devices. It recently announced the Galaxy Core, a new low-end Android smartphone with dual-SIM support and a smaller 4.3-inch display. It runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. There's also a microSD card slot for up to 64GB of additional storage. The 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display is a TFT LCD affair, offering a 480x800 resolution. The Core looks a whole lot like the flagship Galaxy S 4 but carries a lower price.

What Else You Need To Know

  • Depending on the market the Samsung Galaxy Core will come in two versions, a Single SIM that will be released in June and a Dual SIM later this month.
  • The device also features a a 5MP camera at the back, and a VGA front facing camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz skin and a number of built-in apps, and a basic 1,800 mAh battery.
