Texas Instruments reveals new plans for OMAP, SoC market
Pocketnow

Texas Instruments reached out to comment on a news story that came out recently which talked about the death of the OMAP SoC platform. Apparently, after all the talk of it killing off its own mobile SoCs in order to work on other endeavors, TI has no such plans at all. It simply aims to broaden its reach with OMAP by way of creating solutions for embedded applications like automotive, vision, enterprise, and robotics. So expect to hear more about TI's upcoming Cortex A15-based OMAP 5, because contrary to earlier published rumors, it's still alive.
