Samsung has appointed presidents Boo-keun Yoon and J.K. Shin as two new CEOs, shortly after launching the Galaxy S4. Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Directors and current CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon isn't leaving the position he attained last summer however. The three executives will now be heading up one of the three main parts of Samsung: Yoon at electronics (TV and appliance products), Shin at mobile, and Kwon at components.

- In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, newly-appointed co-CEO of Samsung Electronics J.K. Shin revealed that his company's Windows-based phones and tablets "aren't selling very well" and that the market prefers Android.
- Shin revealed that Samsung has now sold 50 million Galaxy S III units since the phone's launch in 2012.
