The TomTom Navigation app for Android is now available through the Google Play Store, and with a $49.99 price tag, it looks to be geared towards those who are really in serious need of mobile navigation assistance. The price, however, is the least of anyone's problems because for now it seems the app only has a limited availability and does not work on many of today's most recent high-end smartphones. It's unclear why TomTom limited the app to work only on devices with WVGA screen resolutions, though perhaps an update will solve this problem in the future.
What Else You Need To Know
- TomTom's Android navigation app is currently available only in North America, Europe, UK & Ireland, and a number of other regions.
- It seems the problem with the TomTom Android navigation app is that it is not compatible with HD resolution displays, so it will not work with devices like the Galaxy S III or HTC One X+.
