Toshiba is joining the already-crowded laptop/tablet combo market with its Satellite U920t and U925t hybrids that were introduced at the IFA 2012 in Berlin. Each device runs on the full-blown Windows 8, has a 12.5-inch scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass display with 1366 x 768 resolution, and is powered by Intel Ivy Bridge chips with integrated Intel HD4000 graphics under the hood. Availability and pricing will be revealed close to the October 26th launch of Windows 8.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The U920t features an i3/i5 Intel CPU, up to 256GB SSD drive for storage, and up to 8GB DDR3 RAM for multi-tasking, and has NFC support.
  • Unlike other convertibles, the U920T's keyboard couldn't be detached from the device.
