TracFone Wireless has just announced the arrival of the LG Optimus Zip, an entry-level sliding QWERTY keyboard-equipped Android smartphone that's set to become available with Gingerbread pre-installed. Its hardware features include a 3.2-inch HVGA resolution touchscreen display, an 800MHz single-core processor, 3.2-megapixel main camera, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS, and a built-in microSD card slot. It is expected to become available in stores in the next few weeks.
What Else You Need To Know:
- The LG Optimus Zip is actually the LG Enlighten a.k.a. LG Optimus Slider being sold by TracFone Wireless under a codename of sorts.
- There is no indication that the LG Optimus Zip will ever get an Android 4.0 ICS update.
