![Verizon Galaxy Nexus gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade](/uploads/feeds/android-guys/2012-09/m/ba0bd28caf9134de123e71d06a054f80.png)
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software upgrade is now available for the version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that's available through the largest wireless network in the US, Verizon. The upgrade software will be available first through only Wi-Fi for a limited time. Users can check for it by going into the Settings Menu, selecting About Phone, then checking System Updates. A notification will flash on the screen with necessary information if an upgrade is available.

- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean brings several major changes which include Google Now and the implementation of Google's "Project Butter" for faster menu and app responsiveness throughout the OS.
