Verizon has officially announced the availability of the Android-powered LG Spectrum 2, which it plans to sell online starting October 30th for $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. The Spectrum 2 is basically the Optimus LTE2 for the U.S. and features a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen display, an 8MP camera, 16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, a speedy dual-core Snapdragon CPU, NFC, 4G LTE, and wireless charging. Every unit comes with a new 2-year contract.
What Else You Need To Know
- The LG Spectrum 2's default operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has been promised by LG and schedule to come out some time in early 2013.
