Verizon Wireless announced that interested customers may preorder the BlackBerry Z10 beginning March 14. The Z10, which runs on the highly anticipated BlackBerry 10 platform, costs $199.99 with a new contract and will be available online and in stores on March 28. Verizon is selling the Z10 in both black and white; the white model is exclusive to Verizon. At $199 on a contract, the Z10 is put at the same price-point as Apple's iPhone 5 and other high-end handsets. AT&T and T-Mobile began accepting preorders for the Z10 earlier this week.

- The full-touch BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch HD display with a 1280 x 768 resolution, a rear 8-MP shooter with an LED flash and support for 1080P HD video, a 2-MP web cam on the front, microSD card slot, and 4G LTE connectivity.
- BlackBerry has announced it received orders for one million BlackBerry Z10 units, its largest handset order from a single company in history. Given its history with BlackBerry, Verizon could be that unnamed partner.
- Verizon also confirmed it will sell the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry Q10 although it hasn't announced specific availability and pricing of the device.
