Phone Arena

Verizon has just officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II. Like many of today's latest Android smartphones, it comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and Ice Cream Sandwich as the default OS. It also boasts NFC wireless and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that should make it excellent for e-mail and text messaging buffs. It will be available for purchase some time in the coming weeks for $130 with a two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.

What Else You Need To Know

  • Verizon failed to specify the native resolution of the Galaxy Stratosphere II's screen but it is believed to be WVGA or 800x480 pixels.
