One of the largest vendors of LCD TVs in North America unveiled at the CES 2013 a new line-up of yet-unnamed Android Jelly Bean tablets and smartphones, as well as a Windows 8 tablet. Vizio unveiled a light-weight 10-inch tablet, which has Nvidia's brand-new Tegra 4 quad-core chipset, NFC, and a high-end resolution display that matches the resolution of the Nexus 10 or even the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina. The seven-inch variant has more modest Nexus 7-like specs and is powered by the older Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Vizio, which has a portfolio Windows 8 PCs and laptops, also unveiled a tablet with an 11.6-inch Full HD display and running on the full blown Windows 8 rather than just RT. Vizio's new Android smartphones are bound for China -- comprise a 5-inch full HD handset and a 4.7-inch variant that both lack LTE support. Vizio has not announced pricing and availability of the devices.

Initially, Vizio’s only plans for the pair [of smartphones] are to launch them in China. There’s always the chance we’ll see them land elsewhere a little further the line, but without LTE support, don’t count on seeing much demand for them- Stephen Schenck, Pocket Now
The 10-incher is reportedly very light, and coupled with Tegra 4, it promises to be one of the fastest large Android tablets.- Devindra Hardawar, Venture Beat

The Vizio 10-inch Tablet has quite a bit in common with Google's larger slate, actually. Its 10.1-inch, 2560 x 1600 display matches the Nexus 10, and we've quite liked the screen before — pushing that many pixels did cause the Nexus 10 some problems, but we're hoping Tegra 4 is more up to the task.
