ZTE's Feature-Packed, 6.9mm Phablet Ready for Launch

ZTE is unveiling at the CES next month the Grand S, its second phablet. According to specs and images provided by ZTE to a Chinese site, the Android-running Grand S features a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 touchscreen, a 13MP camera, an extremely thin 6.9mm design, a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (APQ8064) processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 2,500 mAh battery. The ZTE Nubia Z5, which was earlier unveiled by the Chinese budget-phone maker, features identical specs, except that the Z5 has a 3,000 mAh battery and is thicker by 0.7mm.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The International CES expo is slated for January 8th to 11th in Las Vegas.
  • The Grand S could be priced at 2,799 Yuan (US$449), according to reports in China, while the Nubia is slated to be pricier at 3456 Yuan ($555).
