ZTE, known for its budget smartphones, is unveiling a high-end smartphone with a 1080p screen next month, according to the Web site for an upcoming consumer technology tradeshow. A listing on the schedule for the International CES 2013 scheduled for Jan. 8 to 11 at Las Vegas says ZTE is unveiling the Grand S, which is ZTE's first full HD smartphone and is the world's thinnest. ZTE did not reveal other details other than saying, "Made of ceramic and featuring traditional Chinese style, the Grand S is the perfect phone for the fashionable set."
What Else You Need To Know
- ZTE is rumored to be preparing a five-inch smartphone with a 12-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip.
- The Chinese phone maker is planning to sell higher-end phones, which has higher profit margins than its existing low to mid-range devices.
